Tote Bag Illustrations

A set of illustrated tote bags celebrating a few of 2022's biggest upcoming movies.
I worked in collaboration with Digital Cinema Media, the UK's market leader in cinema advertising, on a number of illustrations that visualized a few of the most anticipated films of the year, to be printed on tote bags for their staff and clients.
We worked through a number of creative routes before settling on the idea of depicting the silhouettes of some of cinema audience's favourite characters. I then offered up a selection of different movies to focus on, and DCM selected The Batman, Black Panther 2, and Scream to move forward with.
The illustrations are bold and graphic, using just three colours (including the black of the bag itself) to conjure these characters and the worlds they inhabit. This was a super fun project, and the limited colour palette provided a great challenge when considering how to add as much impact as possible into the artwork.
