The Science of Geoengineering

A set of diagrams that visualize some of sciences most ambitious plans to tackle climate change.

I worked with China Dialogue to create a series of illustrated diagrams to accompany an article about geoengineering; the science of adapting the environment and our atmosphere in an effort to tackle the effects of climate change.

China Dialogue operates in both English and Chinese, and so I was presented with the challenge of visualizing these proposals without any words, in order to ensure the graphics worked for all audiences.

The finished artworks are clean, colourful and engaging, with simple iconography and arrows providing additional context where needed. This was a really fun project and great way to learn more about creative ways to confront our changing climate.
