Free State of Jones: a Tale of Two Sides

A visually informative piece of print to mark the release of Free State of Jones, starring Matthew McConaughey.
StudioCanal and their partners elevenfiftyfive asked Human After All to create some innovative publicity materials as part of multi-faceted marketing campaigns to promote ‘Free State of Jones’.
Using engaging editorial, the project detailed the good and bad sides of McConaughey’s character, using the structure of the printed piece to allow the reader to explore each side in turn, before opening up into a visual timeline of his life and a more detailed look at the events depicted in the movie. Our design and colour palettes drew inspiration from the visual motifs and aesthetic tropes of the film, creating an appropriate and considered takeaway that allowed viewers to explore the film a little deeper.
